In this commentary, we will explore what can be regarded as ‘the enemy within’, an aspect of our shadow self that is in the role of the saboteur.  We are often aware of this dynamic quite unexpectedly at a crucial stage of what appears to be a successful project or enterprise; obstacles arise and the ‘opposition’ appears.  So we are tested in our commitment and sometimes forced to examine our motives along the way.  In actual fact, our adversary can become our ally as this process can expose anything or anyone who is not truly authentic.  As weaknesses or flaws in the underlying structure are brought to light there is then an opportunity to strengthen and become whole.

As the process of rectification begins, we are able to build upon strong foundations, so the ego needs to recognise the archetype of the saboteur and trust that the divine purpose is being facilitated/served.
