We need to see
Through the eyes of a child
Whose innocence presents the key
To hidden treasures, buried deep
Within the psyche, fast asleep
We need to listen
To our inner child
Whose plaintive voice and charming wiles
Seductive in naivete
Betrays our vulnerability
We need to remember
Our childhood ways
In which we learned to spend our days
In wonderment, frivolity
And sheer delight at being free
We need to know
As a child knows
Without a doubt, intuitively
Our inner wisdom then revealed
Transcending ambiguity
We need to feel as a child feels
Instinctively attracted to
Whatever appeals
Within the guise of
The essence that heals….
